Live Uncommon - Never Giving Up, Always Giving Back.

I have always been enthusiastic about sports. Running, was not always my passion, but as I have become older and yes, wiser, I have really taken a liking to it. I have some super groups I run with, not only good runners, but good people. I am also a member of the Backwater Gamblers Ski team. BWG is also a great group of family oriented people that Live Uncommon and have a lot to offer the Quad Cities. That is one of my most important philosophies, if you want to call it that, surround your self with good people and good things will happen. And that has lead me to Live Uncommon. So many good people in this organization and many more to come.
I really also believe in the mission of Live Uncommon: Family, Work Ethic, Fitness & Health, Giving Back, Balance, all while striving for Excellence. I want to embrace all of these and lead by example. I am a school teacher and we need to set good examples if we want to continue to make the next generations better, and what a great way to do it, Living Uncommon!
I also grew up in this community and I want to give back to what has made me, ME! Giving back is always a feel good situation, but when I can give back to a community that has given me some of the most positive memories I have, it really hits home. That is why I chose to raise my family here! I want to forge ahead and make our community known for Living Uncommon and leading the way in giving back to what makes us great.

Here are the charities that we will be raising money for:

CASI: Center for Active Seniors...provides services that meet the needs of older adults and fosters respect, dignity and quality of life.
Project Renewal: To be a positive presence for the children and families in our low income neighborhood of Davenport, Iowa.
Race For the Cure: Susan G. Komen...Breast Cancer
Moonlight Chase: Helping support the Scott County Library, Eldridge Volunteer Fire department, trees forever, the Food pantry and more...
OUCH: Wound Reach Foundation, Wound Care, Research Education And Clinical Health.
Q.C. Marathon: Us & Too (Prostate Cancer Education & Support), Erika Kate (Children with heart disease)
